Season Harvest Foods works closely with growers and processors; as well as monitors the entire supply chain; from planting seeds to the finished product. We are able to trace our products back to the soil in which they were grown. We conduct tests at every step to verify the safety and purity of the products we offer. We specialize in IQF organic garlic, green onion, shallots, and basil, as well as IQF organic vegetables such as spinach, bell pepper, onion, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and edamame. We carry selected herbs and spices as well. Our extensive experience allows us to provide the finest ingredients to clients in both the organic and natural food industries. 

Farming

Season Harvest Foods works closely with our growing partners. Quality control begins on the field where we have set NOP (National Organic Program) standards throughout all operations. We also created ongoing educational programs for farmers in order to continuously improve quality control and farming methods, and the field management team works closely with farmers to assure the quality and fertility of the soil. These strict farming practices produce pure, healthy vegetables and fruits while reducing environmental impact. 

A variety of innovative bio-dynamic and earth-friendly techniques are used to control pests while promoting a balanced and harmonious ecosystem. This includes custom-designed lighting devices and sticking boards to monitor crops and prevent pest activity. A superior sampling method (chessboard sampling) is employed to ensure the best quality produce at harvest. Vegetable samples are collected and tested to check for pesticide residue and heavy metal levels. Traceability is important—therefore, an excellent farming record system is established to trace the products back to specific locations in the field. 

Production

The organic facility operates under strict HARPC (Hazard Analysis Risk-based Preventive Control) and NOP (National Organic Program) guidelines, and is regularly audited by third parties. The organic production lines are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure the best tasting organic vegetables. On-site inspectors ensure our customers receive only the highest quality products. Metal detectors are stationed throughout packaging lines to prevent any hazardous foreign materials from entering our finished products. 

The strict sanitary procedures guarantee well-controlled microbiological levels that greatly exceed our customers' expectations. Physical, microbiological, and chemical tests are performed in laboratories to ensure product safety. To maintain the highest level of nutrition and product flavor, IQF vegetables are processed the same day of harvest.

Quality

Safety is top priority at Season Harvest Foods. The product safety control system starts at the field and ends with the finished product, allowing us to trace each product's cultivation history. The production facility follows strict supervision under NOP (National Organic Program) standards.

In state-of-the-art laboratories, pesticide residue, physical, chemical, and microbiological tests on soil, water, and pre-harvested and finished products, are conducted. In addition to the strict internal quality control regimen, internationally- accredited third parties are invited to conduct audits of the facilities. The facility is GSFI compliant and holds BRC certification.
